Rowan Jacobsen, AuthorRowan Jacobsen writes about food, the environment, and the intersection of the two. His work has appeared in The Art of Eating, The New York Times, Saveur, Newsweek, Eating Well, and elsewhere. In addition to the James Beard Award-winning A Geography of Oysters, he is also the author of Fruitless Fall: The Collapse of the Honeybee and the Coming Agricultural Crisis and The Living Shore: Rediscovering a Lost World. He has spent years traveling North America, sampling its oysters, and leading “Taste the Terroir” events and wine pairings. His new book, American Terroir, will be published in September. When not on the road, he lives in landlocked Vermont, where the oysters really suck.
